Music Video, cinema & advertising
The richness of the video clip is enormous, and what was initially born as a promotional piece for singers and bands has managed to create its own language, influencing fashion, film and television. Much has progressed since the early days of MTV and the music video is today an essential trend-setter to understand the youngest generations.
In the workshop I will analyse, from my experience, the differences and similarities between video, film and advertising. Their language, their times, the direction of actors and non-actors, dancers, models and musicians, in these pieces, the music videos, that not only serve to sell music nowadays, but also add the image to the sound.
