SOUNDIE 2017

On October 20 and 21, 2017, the second edition of the Soundie Music Video Awards, the International Video Music Festival of Barcelona, ​​was held at Arts Santa Mònica in Barcelona.

Awards ceremony, concerts, workshops, panels, conferences and a fruitful networking served to nourish the music videos industry in a landmark event in the audiovisual industry not only nationally but internationally.

Soundie Music Video Awards 2017 was once again the scene of the birth of new projects arising from the collaboration of many of the professionals who participated in the activities organized by the festival.

On Friday, October 20, all kinds of professional activities were organized with a program created for all types of public interested in the professional sector of music videos. We organized a lecture with Lyona and with Ulule Spain together with Las Tope Dramáticas. During this professional day a 360º Music Video 4 hour Workshop was also offered together with SAE Institute of Barcelona, ​​totally free workshop with a theoretical section and a practical one organized by Andrés Tosti (Trumpeter, composer, visual artist) and Luigi Piscitelli (VR Producer). That same day there was also a professional panel related to the new musical trend in music videos such as TRAP and urban music, a panel entitled MUSIC VIDEO, BIRTH OF A NEW CULTURE IN DIGITAL PLATFORMS.

A table composed by Ramon Pascual (Vevo Spain), Damed Squad (Artists), Kokos Ackee (Audiovisual Producer), Alicia Álvarez Vaquero (Journalist and Researcher). The professional session ended with a networking session where all the participants: audiovisual professionals, artists, students, jury, organization, workshop professors, speakers were able to participate in this session led by a networking facilitator to exchange all kinds of impressions and be able to create new synergies and future musical and audiovisual projects. During this day there where the musical performance of Ultraplayback, Damed Squad and the Italian band Sweet Life Society.

On Saturday 21, the awards ceremony of the Soundie Music Video Awards began, distributing 11 prizes worth € 12,000 to local, national and international directors.

The jury of Soundie Music Video Awards 2017 – Joan Luna (Chief Editor Mondosonoro), Queralt Antú Serrano (Film Department Coordinator at SAE), Margaux Beaumier (Executive Producer Soixan7e Quin5e) presented the prizes.

During the Awards ceremony we have musical performances by Xarim Aresté, Amparanoia, Enric Montefusco and we ended up dancing with Dj Delafé.
